Baseball Recap: Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats vs. Piedmont Community Charter Patriots

Sugar Creek Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 24-3 to the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 back in March.

Kam Guerrero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and one run. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Mason Riley, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Sugar Creek Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Piedmont Community Charter, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sugar Creek Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
