Volleyball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Girard Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-5.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-20-2. As for Girard, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.

Coming up, Columbus will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Mary's-Colgan. As for Girard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Fort Scott on the 2nd.
