Baseball Game Preview: L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Prince George Royals

The L.C. Bird Skyhawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Prince George Royals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither L.C. Bird nor Prince George posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Thursday just wasn't the day for L.C. Bird's offense. They lost 10-0 to Manchester on Thursday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Skyhawks were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Prince George fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Thomas Dale on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Prince George saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Mozucha, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

L.C. Bird's defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Prince George, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

L.C. Bird couldn't quite finish off Prince George in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Skyhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
