Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Port Allen's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Port Allen can now relate to. They came up short against the Loreauville Tigers on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Pelicans were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Tigers' pitchers proved too tough.

Port Allen moved to 20-10 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Loreauville, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-17.

While Port Allen had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
