Basketball Game Preview: Payton College Prep Grizzlies vs. Sycamore Spartans

The Payton College Prep Grizzlies will be taking part in a tournament against the Sycamore Spartans at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Payton College Prep's tournament run continued when they took on Harvest Christian Academy on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for Payton College Prep in a 45-30 victory over Harvest Christian Academy.

While Sycamore didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Aurora Central Catholic 76-41 on Monday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Chargers are ranked 667th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Payton College Prep now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Sycamore, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
