Baseball Recap: Highland Bulldogs vs. Knight Hawks

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Quartz Hill, Highland was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Knight Hawks. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Landon Manzano made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Manzano was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Jacob Aragon looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

He has become a key player for Highland: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise.
