Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Takes a Loss

Elkhart lost against Teague back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elks fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. The Elks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Elkhart took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-11, 22-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Brooke Cooper paced Elkhart's offense, picking up 13 kills. Cooper got some help from Marisa Denney and her 28 assists. Denney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 22-15. As for Teague, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-8.

Looking ahead, Elkhart will face off against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Teague does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
