Baseball Game Preview: Wallenberg Bulldogs vs. Galileo Lions

For the second straight game, Wallenberg will face off against Galileo. Wallenberg will head out to challenge Galileo at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Wallenberg is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Galileo, falling 21-2.

For Galileo's part, Zane Ridley and Cody Yung made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Ridley pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Yung pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Ridley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Ridley went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Yung scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Yung also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elijah Michael, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-4. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Diego Gil was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

Galileo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .567. The last time their batting average was this high was since the start of last season.

The victory (which was Galileo's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wallenberg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Wallenberg suffered a grim 21-2 defeat to Galileo in their previous meeting on Wednesday. Can Wallenberg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
