Basketball Recap: Jacksonville Christian Academy Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Jacksonville Christian Academy had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Nylah Moore did her part to make it six on Thursday. The Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors took their matchup with ease, bagging a 52-19 victory over the Jones Trojans thanks in part to Moore, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 27 points along with six assists and four steals. The contest was her 23rd in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Sweet, who posted seven points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Jacksonville Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Jones, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacksonville Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gramercy Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gramercy Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Jacksonville Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jones, they will take on East Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jones is facing East Carteret at the right time seeing as East Carteret is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
