The Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Halifax Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Florida Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Last Monday, Central Florida Christian Academy came up short against City of Life Christian Academy and fell 6-1. The Eagles have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Casey Nipper was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Nipper wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Click, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Halifax Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Calvary Christian Academy, falling 19-3.

Halifax Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Central Florida Christian Academy took their victory against Halifax Academy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 17-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
