Volleyball Recap: Fruitport Comes Up Short at Home Against Fennville

Fruitport unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Fennville Blackhawks on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13.

Lane Raap paced Fruitport's offense, picking up four kills. Raap got some help from Tanner Cappema and his eight assists.

Fennville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Fruitport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Allendale on the 31st. Fennville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
