Georgetown got themselves on the board against Elgin on Friday, but Elgin never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups in a row.

Georgetown pushed their record up to 17-8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Elgin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
