Basketball Game Preview: Olpe Eagles vs. Osage City Indians

The Olpe Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Osage City Indians on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

If Olpe beats Osage City with 55 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Olpe came out on top against Mission Valley by a score of 55-48 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Osage City entered their tilt with Perry-Lecompton on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Kaws 55-39.

Olpe's victory bumped their record up to 16-1-2. As for Osage City, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Olpe strolled past Osage City in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 54-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olpe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
