Softball Recap: Arleta Takes a Loss

Arleta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Fernando Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in April.

ADRIANA VASQUEZ DURAN made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was LEILANI GURROLA, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Arleta's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for San Fernando, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Arleta is set to face off against their familiar foe Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, San Fernando will challenge rival Poly at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
