Softball Recap: St. Anthony Takes a Loss

St. Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Paraclete Spirits, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spirits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Monday.

Ivy Burnham was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

St. Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Paraclete, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2-1.

While St. Anthony had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
