It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Galena ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Reed Raiders 59-56. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Raiders back in January, they had to take a 61-43 defeat.

Among those leading the charge was Gavin Talonen, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Bronander, who posted six points and seven boards.

Galena was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Reed lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ford Gilliam, who scored 12 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Smith, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 16 points.

The win made it two in a row for Galena and bumps their season record up to 9-14. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Reed, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Galena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-52 loss against Damonte Ranch on the 7th. As for Reed, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-38 defeat against Spanish Springs on the 7th.
