Basketball Recap: Amherst Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Broken Bow, Amherst was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Loomis Wolves by a score of 55-47. That's more bragging rights for the Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

AnnDee Jaixen went supernova for Amherst, putting up 21 points. Libby Mitchell was another key player, posting 13 points.

Amherst's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Loomis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Amherst and Arcadia/Loup City will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arcadia/Loup City will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Amherst surely won't give up without a fight. Loomis has already played their next contest, a 45-34 loss against Bertrand on the 14th.
