Softball Preview: Polo Panthers vs. Tri-County Mustangs
The Polo Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-County Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Polo is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
It was a proper cat-fight when Polo challenged Braymer on Tuesday. Polo wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Mya Heil made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run. What's more, she also racked up two hits, the mostshe's had since back in September of 2023.
Meanwhile, Tri-County had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Mercer on Saturday as Tri-County made off with a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won three contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Polo's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Tri-County, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
