Basketball Game Preview: Hockinson Hawks vs. Mark Morris Monarchs

Hockinson hasn't had much luck against Mark Morris recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hockinson Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Mark Morris Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Hockinson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Last Thursday, Hockinson strolled past Jefferson with points to spare, taking the game 71-52. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

Meanwhile, everything went Mark Morris' way against Black Hills on Saturday as Mark Morris made off with a 72-50 win. The Monarchs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Mark Morris pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Hockinson, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Hockinson might still be hurting after the 80-58 defeat they got from Mark Morris when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Hockinson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
