Tucson High Magnet School came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Combs Coyotes, sneaking past 35-33. That's two games straight that the Badgers have won by exactly two points.

Combs lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Heather Jo Bush, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. Bush is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Ambriah Lujan was another key player, putting up eight points.

Tucson High Magnet School's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Combs, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Tucson High Magnet School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-31 defeat against Buckeye on the 4th. As for Combs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-52 loss against Cactus Shadows on the 4th.
