After flying high against University last Saturday, Capistrano Valley Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles lost to the Laguna Hills Hawks on the road by a 44-30 margin on Friday.

Defeat or not, Capistrano Valley Christian got some senior leadership from Drake Bothwell and Luke Vincent. Bothwell threw for 280 yards and one TD, while Vincent gained 207 total yards. Vincent didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble, made five total tackles, and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Laguna Hills was led to victory by Jaxson Vanderbeek and Khryztopher Entrala. Vanderbeek rushed for 91 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, while Entrala gained 136 total yards and three touchdowns.
