Volleyball Recap: Newbury Park Gets the Win

Newbury Park won the last time they faced Oxnard and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Yellowjackets on their court since September 28, 2019.

The win didn't come easy: Oxnard scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 15-25, 25-20.

Newbury Park has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newbury Park will take on Oak Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oxnard, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
