Basketball Recap: Regis Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

On Saturday, the Regis Ramblers didn't have too much trouble with the Wabeno/Laona Rebels as they won 53-37. Given the Ramblers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Rebels are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Regis is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Wabeno/Laona, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regis will venture away from home to take on Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cameron is on a four-game streak of home wins, Regis a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Wabeno/Laona, they will take on Elcho at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
