Basketball Recap: Fox Creek Predators vs. Batesburg-Leesville Panthers
The Fox Creek Predators have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They enjoyed a cozy 50-36 win over Batesburg-Leesville on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fox Creek also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Fox Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maya Kryshtalowych led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Kryshtalowych hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. Jada Jennings was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Fox Creek's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Fox Creek will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Rebels at 6:15 p.m. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pelion comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
