After a string of seven wins, Stuttgart's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Brookland Bearcats by a score of 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Ricebirds have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Stuttgart's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaniya Colvin, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bell Price, who posted six points along with five assists and five steals.

Stuttgart's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Brookland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.
