Basketball Game Preview: Warren Bears vs. Sierra Vista Dons

Two dominant guards in King Johnson and Aaron Buna are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Warren Bears will jump right back in to play the Sierra Vista Dons at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Warren knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Sierra Vista likes a good challenge.

Warren is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since December 2nd on Friday. They blew past Western 69-36.

Warren relied on the efforts of Johnson, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 19 points, and Jay'Mari Redmond, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points and five assists. Johnson's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steve Munoz, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista slipped by Apple Valley 55-54 on Friday.

Sierra Vista is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Warren, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
