Baseball Recap: Western Hills Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dunbar last Friday, Western Hills came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles on Tuesday, falling 15-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Western Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Axel Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 3-16-1. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11-1 record this season.

While Western Hills had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
