Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lincoln walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Moreau Catholic Mariners with a sharp 69-45 win on Thursday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jagger Merolla, who went 8-for-10 en route to 19 points and six boards. What's more, Merolla also posted an 80% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Anthony Moore was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Lincoln's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-4. As for Moreau Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-6.

Coming up, Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 26 games. Moreau Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
