 Excel's game  last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Blacksher Bulldogs as the Excel Panthers made off with  an  8-2 victory. For Excel, this counts as revenge for the   9-6 defeat Blacksher walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2023.
  Zaylon McMillan made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits. McMillan has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. McMillan was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Will Thomas was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Devin Odoms was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Excel's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Blacksher, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with that  loss, which was their ninth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Excel will  face off against Thomasville at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Thomasville will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Excel surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blacksher, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Excel at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
