Basketball Game Preview: Ozona Lions vs. Forsan Buffaloes

Ozona hasn't had much luck against Forsan recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ozona Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Forsan Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m.

Ozona is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Eldorado 65-35.

Ozona's defeat came about despite a quality game from Hudson Fowler, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 16 boards. Fowler is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Leo Blanco, who posted six points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Ozona smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Forsan was able to grind out a solid win over Buena Vista on Tuesday, taking the game 59-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buffaloes.

Forsan's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-8. As for Ozona, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
