2017-18 MaxPreps High School Boys Basketball All-American Team

R.J. Barrett of Montverde Academy grabbed the nation's top honor for 2017-18.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized the top 50 high school boys basketball players in America.

Past honorees include 2018 NBA All-Stars Brad Beal (2011), DeMarcus Cousins (2008 and 2009), Anthony Davis (2011), DeMar DeRozan (2008), Kevin Durant (2008), James Harden (2007), Kyrie Irving (2010), Kevin Love (2006 and 2007), Karl-Anthony Towns (2014) and Kemba Walker (2008).

Selections are based on team success, individual production and local, regional and state honors from the recently-completed season. Potential at the college and professional level is not a primary consideration. Players in post-graduate and non-scholastic programs are not eligible for inclusion.

Montverde Academy (35-0) spent much of the season ranked No. 1 nationally behind Barrett, the MaxPreps National Player of the Year. He averaged 28.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.3 steals per game.

Prolific scorer ends career as North Carolina's all-time leading scorer with 3,573 career points. White tallied 30.2 points, 10.3 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game, leading Greenfield (25-10) to the NCISAA Class 1A title contest.

Loyer will go down in Michigan lore, scoring 82 points over his final two games while leading No. 5 Clarkston (27-1) to its highest national ranking in school history.
