Basketball Recap: Chase Plotkin and Chace Redler Secure Win for Millburn

There's no place like home for Millburn, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 victory over the Science Park Chargers on Saturday. Given the Millers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Chargers are ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Millburn to victory were Chace Redler and Chase Plotkin. Redler dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards, while Plotkin went 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Redler's morning made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Millburn was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Millburn's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. As for Science Park, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Millburn will be playing in front of their home fans against North Star Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Science Park, they will face off against Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
