Spokane is 8-1 against New Covenant Academy since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Spokane Owls are taking a road trip to challenge the New Covenant Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Spokane has struggled recently with ten losses in a row, while New Covenant Academy will arrive with three straight victories.

Spokane saw some tournament action on Friday. They were outmatched by Crane and fell 64-21. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while the Pirates are ranked 119th).

Meanwhile, New Covenant Academy beat Early 64-57 last Friday.

New Covenant Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Spokane, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Spokane came out on top in a nail-biter against New Covenant Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, sneaking past 53-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spokane since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
