Baseball Recap: Rauner Wildcats vs. Thornton Fractional North Meteors

Rauner had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 7-10 to make it four. They fell just short of the Thornton Fractional North Meteors by a score of 14-13. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Meteors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 on Saturday.

As for Thornton Fractional North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games.

For Thornton Fractional North's part, Michael Barbosa was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs. Saul Raygoza was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
