Soccer Game Preview: Covington vs. Northshore

Covington hasn't had much luck against Northshore recently, but that could start to change on Sunday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Covington face off against the Northshore at 3:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Covington's offense. They lost 6-0 to Northlake Christian on Saturday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Northshore faced St. Louis Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Northshore fell just short of St. Louis Catholic by a score of 1-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Northshore, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-4.
