Baseball Game Preview: Brewbaker Tech Rams vs. Southside Panthers

The Brewbaker Tech Rams will square off against the Southside Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Brewbaker Tech turned things around against Carver Montgomery on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 10-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Josh Mitchell Jr. was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Brewbaker Tech: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-16 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Williams, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Southside hadn't done well against Dallas County recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The win got Southside back to even at 3-3. As for Brewbaker Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17.
