Baseball Recap: Community Christian Academy Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Community Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Christian Family Academy Fire on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Fire: they've now won six in a row.

Cole Richardson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 16 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those 16 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Mason Maltba was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Easton Brooks was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Community Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Family Academy only posted an OBP of .345.

Community Christian Academy pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Christian Family Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
