Soccer Game Preview: Community School of Naples vs. Seacrest Country Day

The Community School of Naples Seahawks will take on the Seacrest Country Day Stingrays at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Community School of Naples' offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canterbury on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Seacrest Country Day also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Bishop Verot on Tuesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Stingrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Vikings are ranked 125th).

Seacrest Country Day has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Community School of Naples, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7-3.

Community School of Naples came out on top in a nail-biter against Seacrest Country Day when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Community School of Naples since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
