Baseball Game Preview: Brandywine Bulldogs vs. St. Elizabeth Vikings

Brandywine hasn't had much luck against St. Elizabeth recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Vikings at 11:00 a.m. St. Elizabeth took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Brandywine, who comes in off a win.

Brandywine barely beat Dickinson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. Elizabeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilmington Charter.

St. Elizabeth saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas Mancini, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Brandywine's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6. As for St. Elizabeth, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Brandywine skirted past St. Elizabeth 5-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
