Softball Game Preview: Boonville Pioneers vs. Evansville Central Bears

The Boonville Pioneers will face off against the Evansville Central Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games Boonville has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Boonville took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They skirted past North Posey 5-4.

Meanwhile, Evansville Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-0 to Castle, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Boonville's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Evansville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Boonville came out on top in a nail-biter against Evansville Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
