Baseball Game Preview: Glenpool Warriors vs. Cushing Tigers

For the second straight game, Glenpool will face off against Cushing. The Warriors will challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenpool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Glenpool is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since April 1, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Cushing by a score of 6-4. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Denim Sands spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brady Terronez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Cushing is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Glenpool, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.
