Softball Recap: Tulare Union Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Selma, Tulare Union was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sanger West Hornets a 5-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Tribe, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jazlene Salazar was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Faith Jimenez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Tulare Union's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Sanger West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-2 record this season.

Tulare Union wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-4 win against Shafter on the 14th. As for Sanger West, they have also already played their next game, an 8-4 defeat against Selma on the 14th.
