Basketball Game Preview: Firestone Falcons vs. North Vikings

Firestone is on a nine-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, North a 17-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Firestone Falcons will host the North Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Firestone is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Jackson two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Firestone was beaten by Jackson 87-40. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-27.

Meanwhile, North took a blow against Dover on Tuesday, falling 68-29. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 790th, while the Crimson Tornadoes are ranked 204th).

North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Firestone, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
