Soccer Game Preview: Redington vs. Houston

Redington hasn't had much luck against Houston recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Redington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Grace Christian, who was ranked 17th at the time (Redington was ranked 23rd). The Huskies lost 10-1 to the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Redington were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Houston's offense. They came up short against Soldotna on Saturday, falling 11-0. Houston have struggled against Soldotna recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

This is the second loss in a row for Redington and nudges their season record down to 1-10-1. As for Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-3.

Redington might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Houston in their previous meeting on May 1st. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
