Volleyball Recap: Lindbergh Flyers vs. St. Louis University Junior Bills
Lindbergh and St. Louis University squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lindbergh had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Junior Bills. It was the first time this season that the Flyers let down their fans at home.
While Lindbergh had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 20-25, 25-18.
Fil Bumbac paced Lindbergh's offense, picking up ten kills. Bumbac got some help from Cohen Boehm and his 17 assists.
St. Louis University found their leader in sophomore Ben Bartell, who had ten digs and one assist.
Lindbergh's defeat dropped their record down to 29-3. As for St. Louis University, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6.
As of now, neither Lindbergh nor the Junior Bills have any future games scheduled.
