Baseball Recap: Byers Comes Up Short

Byers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-1 to the Myrtle Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Byers' loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Myrtle, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Coming up, Myrtle will face off against Ingomar at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Byers will be paying especially close attention to the Hawks' match: after the Hawks faces off against the Falcons, they'll take on Byers again at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
