Softball Recap: North Vermilion Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for North Vermilion, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They never let the Erath Bobcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Patriots' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

North Vermilion's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs over those games. As for Erath, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

North Vermilion has already played their next match (against Jena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Erath, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bobcats face off against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
