Basketball Game Preview: Red Mesa Redskins vs. Whitehorse Raiders

The Red Mesa Redskins will venture away from home to challenge the Whitehorse Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Red Mesa is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat El Capitan 67-32. Winning may never get old, but the Redskins sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Whitehorse, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 75-42 win over Monticello. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-27.

Whitehorse pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.4 points. As for Red Mesa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Red Mesa came up short against Whitehorse in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 51-39. Can Red Mesa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
