For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Northside and Taft meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Northside was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14.

Northside found their leader in sophomore Jilliyn Yung, who had six digs and two aces.

Northside's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Taft, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Northside has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Senn on the 8th. As for Taft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Leyden on the 10th.
