Softball Recap: Helix Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Helix couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the West Hills Wolf Pack on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Wolf Pack recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Helix got a good showing from Katelyn Woodland, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Helix saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Naviah Conchas, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Helix's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for West Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Helix nor West Hills have any future games scheduled.
